Q: What has the experience been like for you as a woman in Information Technology?
DT: It’s been a fulfilling journey marked by growth, resilience, and breaking barriers. While challenges exist, especially in being a minority in the field, the opportunity to contribute to transformative technology has been immensely rewarding. My focus has always been on bringing inclusivity and innovation into the tech space, and I’ve been fortunate to work with a supportive team that values diversity.
Q: Have you encountered any resistance from male colleagues due to your gender?
DT: Yes, there have been instances where my expertise was underestimated or questioned, but I’ve learned to use these moments as opportunities to prove my capabilities. Over time, I’ve seen mindsets shift as diversity in technology gains more recognition.
Q: Would you say that your experience is like that of other women in your field?
DT: To an extent, yes. Many women in tech face similar challenges, including biases and the need to work harder to prove their worth. However, every journey is unique, and I’ve been fortunate to have mentors and colleagues, like Harish Mandadi and Srinivas Bikkumanla, who supported me in overcoming these barriers.
Q: What are you currently working on at AiFA Labs?
DT: At AiFA Labs, (https://www.aifalabs.com/) I’m focused on creating innovative solutions such as conversational AI, edge AI, computer vision, and generative AI. Through our “AI for All” initiative, we’re working to make advanced technologies accessible to everyone, regardless of industry or background. It’s exciting to see how our efforts are revolutionizing industries and empowering communities worldwide.
Q: Could you review the path you took to become the Co-Founder and VP of Product Development and Professional Services at AiFA Labs?
DT: My career began in the life sciences sector, where I developed innovative solutions to address critical healthcare challenges. Collaborating with visionary industry pioneers like Harish Mandadi and Srinivas Bikkumanla inspired me to explore the transformative potential of AI across various industries. Driven by my passion for innovation and inclusivity, I co-founded AiFA Labs, where I lead product development and professional services with a mission to democratize AI. One of our most groundbreaking achievements, the Generative AI platform ‘Cerebro,’ feels like my very own creation—nurtured from its inception, it holds a deeply personal place in my journey, much like raising a child of my own.
Q: What advice do you have for young women who wish to break into this male-dominated field?
DT: Believe in yourself, stay curious, and never stop learning. Seek mentors who inspire and guide you, and don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself. Lastly, be fearless in pursuing your passion—your unique perspective is an asset to the industry.

DT: Perseverance.

DT: I imagined working in the life sciences, combining my love for science and innovation. AI eventually became the bridge to fulfill that vision on a broader scale.
